I sure didn’t.
A few nights ago, I was lying in bed thinking about my most painful period experiences. Funny enough, I tend to do this often. It forces me to reflect on where I was vs where I am now, and the relief I’ve been able to experience for myself in recent years.
Then I start thinking about people like you and other girls who are STILL suffering from debilitating period cramps. It then forces me to think about the lack of education surrounding menstrual health and why severe pain has become the norm. Period pain is far from normal, friends. It’s actually a sign from your body telling you that something is “off”.
I want you to find relief still so you don’t continue to suffer unnecessarily. There are so many organic products and holistic remedies that can help you achieve better periods, if you’re willing to put in the work to heal.
“If you don’t advocate for your own health, who will?”
Here are a few takeaways for you. Keep these in mind as you begin your health journey:
- Your menstrual and reproductive health are important and can tell you a lot about your body and overall health.
- Whatever pain you’re feeling is valid (and there are many symptoms!)
- Tracking your symptoms in a journal or period tracking app will help you feel more confident in the doctor’s office.
- Improving your period comes with a series of lifestyle changes. They will be difficult, but the results are SO worth it.
- Painful periods AREN’T normal (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).
With love,
